# Add to Claude

Add the Documarium connector to Claude on the web or desktop app, check it reaches your site, and remove it when you want.

You add it once. After that, you read, change and publish your documentation by asking Claude. Everyone on your team adds the same address, each on their own Claude account.

## Where it works

| Where | Can you add it there? | Does it work there once added? |
|---|---|---|
| Claude on the web | Yes | Yes |
| Claude desktop app | Yes | Yes |
| Claude on a phone | No | Yes |

Any Claude plan works, including Free. You don't need a Documarium account to add the connector or to get a preview. You sign in only when you keep a preview as a draft. There is no Documarium password: you use your email address, and we send you a link and a 6-digit code.

## Add the connector

The address to add is:

### On the web

1. Open Claude in a browser and sign in.
2. Go to **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
3. Choose **Add custom connector**.
4. Paste the address above. Claude picks **No sign-in** for you; keep it.
5. Save it. No Documarium page opens, and you can start asking Claude for a preview straight away.

### On the desktop app

Follow the same steps: **Settings**, then **Connectors**, then **Add custom connector**.

## What you allow it to do

When you first sign in, Documarium asks for one of two things and shows you which:

- **Read your documentation.** List the pages on your sites, read one, look through them, and see what changed and when.
- **Read and change your documentation.** All of the above, plus write changes, publish them, and put a site back the way it was.

It reaches only the sites you own or were invited to. It never reaches anything else in your Claude account, and it does not read your conversations. The [privacy policy](https://docs.documarium.com/policies/privacy/) explains what we hold.

## Check that it works

Ask Claude: *List the pages on my site.* Claude answers with every page, its title, its address and when it last changed.

If Claude says the connection does not reach any of your sites yet:

- **If you own the site,** open it in Documarium and find **What can reach this site**. Choose **Let it reach this site** next to the connection, and confirm.
- **If someone else owns the site,** ask its owner to let your connection reach it.

## Take it back

There are two places, and they do different things:

- **In Claude:** go to **Settings**, then **Connectors**, and remove Documarium. Claude stops using it.
- **In Documarium, for a site you own:** open the site and find **What can reach this site**. Choose **Stop** next to your connection, then **Stop** again to confirm. That connection ends at once, for every site it could reach. This works even if you no longer have the other device.

If you were invited to someone else's site, remove it in Claude, or ask the owner to remove you from the site. If you own the site, do both. To use Documarium again after stopping it there, add it in Claude again. Nothing you have written is deleted either way.
