# Undo a change

Put your site back to an earlier saved version by asking Claude, without losing any version along the way.

Every saved version of your site is kept for as long as the site exists. Undoing a change takes the site back to one of them, and the versions after it stay in the history.

## Before you begin

- Add Documarium to Claude with **Read and change your documentation** allowed.
- Know roughly when the site was last right, or which change you want to take back.

## Steps

1. Ask *What changed on this site?* Claude lists each saved version, with its number, when it was saved and who saved it.
2. If you are not sure which one to go back to, ask Claude to compare two versions, for example *Compare version 4 with version 7*.
3. Ask Claude to put the site back, for example: *Put it back the way it was at version 4*.
4. Ask *Is my site up?* to see what readers get. If they still see the newer version, [publish the site](https://docs.documarium.com/guides/publish/) again.

How far back you can go depends on your plan, as the [pricing page](https://documarium.com/#pricing) shows.
