Logo, colours and theme
Set the five things that shape how your Documarium site looks: your logo, small icon, main colour, typeface and theme.
You can also put up to four links in your site's header. Only the site's owner can change these settings. Use the settings page, or ask Claude, for example Make the site bold and use our blue.
Before you begin
- Be the site's owner.
- For a logo, have a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG file of up to 1 MB, at least 512 pixels on its longest side. An SVG stays sharp at any size.
- For your colour, have its hex value, such as #2e5fa3.
Steps
- Logo. Upload it on the settings page. It appears at the top of every page and on the preview cards people see when they share your pages.
- Small icon. Upload the picture for the browser tab. The same formats and size limit apply, with no minimum size.
- Main colour. Type its hex value. It is used for links, buttons and headings.
- Typeface. Pick one of four: Plain, Traditional, Typewriter or Rounded.
- Theme. Pick one of four:
- Base: balanced and neutral.
- Slab: a dark header, big headings and heavy rules.
- Space: deep colour, round corners and large type.
- Paper: a warm page, serif headings and a narrow measure.
- Header links. Give each a name and an address starting with https://. Leave a row empty to skip it.
A theme change rebuilds a live site straight away. The other settings apply the next time you publish.
Why a colour can be turned down
Readers see your site in light or dark, whichever their device asks for. We check that your colour stands out on both, and against your theme's page colour. If it does not, we say which one fails, with the numbers. A slightly brighter version of the same colour usually passes.
Pictures from your current site
If you gave us your current site's address when you started, we fill these settings in for you. We do not show a picture from it until you tick the box saying it is yours.
What these settings do not cover
There is no place for your own stylesheet, no theme editor, and no second colour. Every theme has a light and a dark version, and your typeface never downloads from anywhere.
