Troubleshooting
Fixes for the problems people hit most with Documarium, from a connection that reaches no site to an address that is not ready yet.
Find what you see in the headings below. Each section says what it means and what to do.
Quick checks
- Is Documarium added in Claude? Look in Settings, then Connectors. If it is not there, follow the installation guide.
- Does it reach your site? Ask Claude: List the pages on my site.
- Is the site published? Ask Claude: Is my site up? Claude says whether it is published, where readers find it, and anything waiting on you.
Claude says the connection does not reach any of your sites
Documarium reaches only the sites you own or were invited to, and only once the site lets your connection in.
- If you own the site: open it in Documarium and find What can reach this site. Choose Let it reach this site next to the connection, and confirm.
- If someone else owns it: ask its owner to let your connection reach it, or to invite you.
You cannot add Documarium on your phone
Adding it is not possible on a phone. Add it once on Claude on the web or in the desktop app. After that it works on your phone too.
Claude can read pages but cannot change them
When you added Documarium, it asked only to read. Remove it in Claude under Settings, then Connectors, and add it again. Before you choose Yes, allow it, check that Documarium is asking to read and change your documentation. If it still asks only to read, write to us at the address in the Contact section of questions and answers.
Claude says "This site isn't live yet"
The full message is: "This site isn't live yet. Its owner needs to pick a plan before it can be published. Your changes are kept." The site's owner picks a plan from the dashboard, then you ask Claude to publish again. Nothing you wrote is lost.
You cannot change the logo, colours or theme
Only the site's owner can change how a site looks. If you are the owner and a colour is turned down, it does not stand out enough on a light or a dark page. Try a slightly brighter version of it. Your logo and colours explains the rules.
A logo upload is turned down
We read what a file is, not its name. A logo must be a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG of up to 1 MB, at least 512 pixels on its longest side. An SVG that carries anything other than shapes is turned down; export it as a plain SVG, or send a PNG.
Your own web address is not ready
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The value grew an extra ending | Some providers add your domain to what you type. Type the value with a full stop at the end: origin.documarium.com. |
| A CAA record is blocking the certificate | Add this line beside the ones already there, without removing theirs: @ CAA 0 issue "letsencrypt.org" |
| A record on * answers first | Delete it, or add your docs record above it. Ours must be the more exact one |
| The old address is still showing | Some providers hold the old answer for a day or longer. We keep checking for eight days |
| Signed records (DNSSEC) stopped resolving | Turn signing off before you edit, then turn it back on |
| Your site goes through two proxies | Point your address at us directly. Pages load through two, but more slowly |
The full steps are in Use your own web address.
A payment failed
We email you before your site stops being shown. Nothing is deleted when a site goes offline, and you can export everything at any time. The refunds and cancellation policy explains plans and payments.
Contact support
If none of this helps, write to us at the address in the Contact section of questions and answers, and say what you asked Claude and what it answered. A person reads every message. The privacy policy explains how we handle what you send.
