Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Tonave Services Limited for using Documarium, the hosted documentation service you write and publish from Claude.
The short version
- Documarium hosts documentation you write. You decide what goes on your sites, usually by asking your own Claude. We store it, keep its versions and serve it. We run no AI model and we do not check or edit what you publish.
- Your content is yours. We use it only to run Documarium for you. We do not train AI on it and we do not sell it.
- You are responsible for what you publish, including anything you bring in from elsewhere and anything your AI wrote for you.
- Writing is free; publishing needs a paid plan. Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel in one step.
- You can have a purchase back in full within 30 days of making it. Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK also have a legal right to withdraw.
- You can take your content out at any time, on any plan.
- Our liability is limited for business customers. For consumers, we do not limit what the law says we cannot.
This summary helps you read the terms. Where it and the sections below differ, the sections below apply.
1. Who we are
1.1 Documarium is provided by Tonave Services Limited, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus under number HE 435321, with its registered office at 18 Souliou, Strovolos, 2018, Nicosia, Cyprus, and VAT number 10435321I. "We", "us" and "our" mean that company.
1.2 These terms include our rules on what may be published and our refunds and cancellation policy. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information; it is information, not a term of this agreement.
1.3 You accept these terms when you create an account, keep a preview or buy a plan. If you make a preview without an account, these terms and the rules on what may be published apply to that use too.
1.4 You are a consumer if you use Documarium wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession. Some sections apply only to consumers, and they say so. Nothing in these terms removes a right you have by law as a consumer where you live.
2. What Documarium is
2.1 Documarium is software and hosting. It lets you create, store, version, preview and publish documentation, from the Documarium dashboard or from Claude through the Documarium connector.
2.2 You, not we, write, choose and publish your content, including content an AI tool wrote for you. Documarium runs no AI model and does not write, edit, select, rank or endorse your content. We do not check content before it is published. We act when we learn of a problem (section 13).
2.3 Documarium is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.
3. Your account
3.1 You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to have an account.
3.2 If you use Documarium for an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
3.3 There is no password. You sign in with a link we email you, or with Google if you choose it and we offer it. Keep your email account secure and do not forward sign-in or invitation links. You are responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us at hello@documarium.com straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
4. Sites, owners and members
4.1 The owner of a site is the account that created or kept it. The owner decides who may work on the site, the plan, the web address and whether the site is deleted.
4.2 The owner may invite other people to work on the site. What each of them may do depends on the role the owner gives them. Each person accepts these terms for their own account.
4.3 The owner is responsible for the people they invite and for what those people do on the site.
4.4 The owner can remove a person from a site at any time, and a person can leave at any time. Changes they made stay in the site's history, credited to them.
5. Previews made without an account
5.1 Anyone can ask Documarium, usually through Claude, to make a preview of a site without signing in. A preview is shown for 48 hours at a hard-to-guess address. Anyone who has the address can open it, and search engines are asked not to index it. A preview is not private, so do not put anything secret or personal in it.
5.2 If nobody keeps a preview within those 48 hours, it stops being shown and its pages are deleted. We may remove any preview at any time.
5.3 To keep a preview, sign in and keep it. You then confirm the rights in section 6 and accept these terms. A kept preview becomes a draft in your account, free until it is published.
6. The rights to what you bring in
6.1 We do not check whether you have the right to publish what you bring in. You are telling us that you do.
6.2 Whenever you bring content in, keep a preview or publish a site, you confirm that: (a) you wrote the content, or you hold the rights to publish it; (b) publishing it breaks no one's copyright, trademark, contract, confidence or privacy; and (c) you have every permission you need from the people involved.
6.3 "Claude fetched it for me" is not permission. Your AI does what you ask, and what you ask is your decision. If you are not sure you hold the rights, do not publish the content here.
7. Your content and the licence you give us
7.1 You own what you write and what you bring in. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your documentation to us, and we claim none.
7.2 To host your content we need your permission to do what hosting requires. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, back up, convert, display and serve your content, to make it available through the Documarium connector to the people you allow, and to show it to the people you publish it to. We may use this licence only to provide Documarium as you set it up. We may pass it to our providers only for that purpose.
7.3 The licence lasts while your content is on Documarium. It ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backups that age out on their normal schedule and copies the law requires us to keep.
7.4 We do not use your documentation to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
7.5 Documarium's software, design, themes and name are ours. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Documarium under these terms. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely.
8. Content written with AI, and the Documarium connector
8.1 Content your AI writes at your direction is your content as between you and us. We make no promise that it is accurate, lawful or original. Review what your AI writes before you publish it.
8.2 The Documarium connector lets Claude read and change your sites when you ask it to, using access you allowed. Anything done through access you or the people on your site allowed is treated as done by you.
8.3 You are responsible for your AI assistant and its settings, for checking changes before they are published, and for removing access you no longer want. You can remove it at any time in Claude, or on your site in Documarium.
8.4 What your AI provider does with what it reads from Documarium is governed by your own agreement with that provider, not by us.
8.5 The connector depends on other companies' products. We do not promise that it will stay available in any AI product or listed in any directory.
9. Versions
9.1 Every change you keep is saved as a new version, and we keep every version for as long as the site exists. Your plan decides how far back you can look and undo.
9.2 When a site or an account is deleted, its versions are deleted with it (section 15).
10. Plans, payment and renewal
10.1 Writing a site is free and has no time limit. Publishing it needs a paid plan. What each plan includes, and its price, is on the Documarium pricing page.
10.2 What applies to you is what the pricing page said when you bought or last renewed, subject to section 11. Prices are in US dollars, and tax is charged where the law requires it.
10.3 Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Before you pay, we show you the price, the period and how to cancel.
10.4 Payments are taken by our payment company. We never see or store your card details.
10.5 If a payment fails, we tell you by email before your site stops being shown. When a paid plan ends, the site goes offline at the end of the period you paid for. Nothing is deleted, and the site comes back when you pick a plan.
11. Price lock and price changes
11.1 If your account was created before 31 December 2026, the price you signed up at is locked on every paid plan for as long as that subscription stays active. A price change reaches new subscriptions only, and we will not move you onto one.
11.2 For accounts created on or after that date, a price change is possible. We tell you before it affects you, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
12. Refunds, cancellation and withdrawal
12.1 Within 30 days of each paid purchase (a first plan, a new plan after one ended, or a move to a bigger plan, but not a renewal), you can ask for that purchase's payment back in full, once per purchase, from your billing page. A refund ends the plan it pays back that day, and your site goes offline. Nothing you have written is deleted.
12.2 You can cancel at any time, in one step, from your billing page. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. After the 30-day window we do not refund part-periods, except where the law requires it or where we got something wrong.
12.3 Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK may also withdraw within 14 days, without giving a reason. Our refunds and cancellation policy says how the 14 days are counted and how to withdraw, and includes the model withdrawal form.
13. What may be published, reports and moderation
13.1 Our rules on what may be published apply to every site, preview and account.
13.2 Anyone can report content by writing to abuse@documarium.com, with no account and no sign-in. Tell us the address of the page and what is wrong with it. A person reads every report.
13.3 We do not monitor content in general. We act on reports, on orders from authorities and on problems we come across ourselves. A person makes every decision; we use no automated tool to decide.
13.4 We take the smallest step that fixes the problem: we write to the site's owner, we stop a page or a site being shown, or, for repeated or deliberate abuse, we close the account. Where something is clearly illegal or puts someone in danger, we act as soon as we see it.
13.5 We tell the owner what we did and why, every time, unless the law stops us. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that message and a person will look again. In the EU you can also complain to the Digital Services Coordinator of your country.
13.6 Copyright complaints. If you believe a page published with Documarium copies your work without your permission, write to abuse@documarium.com with "Copyright" in the subject. Include: your name and how to reach you; the work you say was copied; the address of each page; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law; and a statement that what you sent is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for the person who does. Type your name at the end as your signature.
13.7 We stop showing the page while we look into it, tell the site's owner, and pass on your complaint, including how to reach you. If the owner shows us they have the right to publish it, we may show the page again and tell you.
13.8 We close the account of anyone who repeatedly publishes other people's work without permission.
14. Suspension and closure by us
14.1 We may suspend or restrict an account, a site or a preview if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or our rules on what may be published, if the law or an authority requires it, if it puts Documarium, other customers or readers at risk, or if payment is overdue.
14.2 Where we reasonably can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. We do not when the harm is serious, when the law forbids it, or when a warning would defeat the purpose.
14.3 While an account or a site is suspended, you can still export your content, except specific content we must withhold by law.
14.4 We may stop offering Documarium or a paid plan only at the end of your current paid period, with at least 60 days' notice and a refund of any prepaid period we do not provide. You can export your content before it ends.
15. Closing your account, export and deletion
15.1 You can export your content at any time, on any plan, including while a site is suspended and after a subscription ends. The export holds every page as you wrote it, a list of every saved version and your branding choices. It does not hold our build, theme or deploy settings, and it is not a working website.
15.2 You can close your account from your account page whenever you want. Your sites stop being shown within a few minutes of your request. After 30 days everything in your account is removed, and we write to you twice before that, at least seven days apart.
15.3 Some records outlast deletion: backups until they age out, records the law requires us to keep, and the history of other people's sites you worked on, where your address is replaced by "A former member".
16. What we promise, and what we do not
16.1 We provide Documarium with reasonable care and skill, and we work to keep it available and your content safe.
16.2 We do not promise that Documarium will be available without interruption, free of defects or free of any data loss. Services we do not control, such as your AI provider, the companies you registered your web addresses with, networks and certificate authorities, can affect it.
16.3 Business customers: except as these terms say, Documarium is provided "as is", and we give no other warranty, to the extent the law allows. Consumers: your legal rights, including to a service that matches its description and is fit for purpose, are not affected.
17. Liability
17.1 For everyone. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
17.2 Business customers. Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings. Our liability for lost data is limited to restoring it from our latest backup or saved version. Each party's total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid or owed in the 12 months before the event and 100 US dollars. This limit does not apply to your payment obligations or to section 18.
17.3 Consumers. We are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Your legal remedies are not affected.
18. Claims about your content (business customers)
18.1 You will defend us against, and pay the costs of, any claim by someone else arising from your content, your web addresses, names and logos, the AI tools you connect, or your breach of these terms or the law.
18.2 Consumers give no such undertaking. The general law decides responsibility.
19. Changes to Documarium and to these terms
19.1 Documarium changes over time. We will not remove a main feature of a paid plan during a period you have paid for without telling you and letting you cancel with a refund of the unused part.
19.2 If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Changes required by law or to fix a security problem may take effect sooner.
19.3 If you do not accept a change, you can close your account and export your content before it takes effect. Continuing to use Documarium after it takes effect means you accept it. Consumers may also end the contract free of charge within 30 days of a change that is to their disadvantage, and get back the unused part of what they paid.
20. Sanctions
20.1 You confirm that you are not named on a sanctions list of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States or the United Nations, and that you are not in a country or region under comprehensive sanctions.
20.2 We may suspend or end the service if providing it to you would break sanctions or export law.
21. Legal pages Claude drafts for you
21.1 The start page can ask Claude to draft legal pages for your own site, such as a privacy policy or terms. Those pages are a starting point written from what you gave Claude. They are not legal advice, and we do not check them.
21.2 You decide what your site publishes. Have any legal page checked by a qualified lawyer where you operate before you rely on it.
22. Law and disputes
22.1 These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction.
22.2 If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
22.3 Before starting a claim, please write to hello@documarium.com, and we will try to settle it with you within 30 days. Either of us may still ask a court for urgent relief at any time.
23. General
23.1 These terms are written in English, and the English version governs. A translation is for convenience, except where the law gives a consumer the right to rely on a version in their language.
23.2 We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over Documarium, and we tell you if we do. You need our written consent to transfer it.
23.3 Neither of us is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control. If a term cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. Nobody else has rights under these terms.
23.4 We send notices to your account email. You can send notices to hello@documarium.com, or by post to Tonave Services Limited, 18 Souliou, Strovolos, 2018, Nicosia, Cyprus.
