Cookie policy

This policy lists every cookie Documarium sets, what each one is for and how long it lasts, and explains why the sites people publish with Documarium set none.

Documarium is run by Tonave Services Limited, registered in the Republic of Cyprus under number HE 435321, at 18 Souliou, Strovolos, 2018, Nicosia, Cyprus.

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to keep. Documarium uses three of them. All three come from Documarium itself, and none of them is for advertising or analytics.

The three cookies we set

NameWhat it is forHow long it lasts
documarium_sessionKeeps you signed in30 days
documarium_signinFinishes a sign-in you started10 minutes
documarium_noticesRemembers which notes you have already readUntil you close your browser

What we keep in your browser besides cookies

NameWhat it is forHow long it lasts
documarium-connector-confirmedRemembers that you told us you added Documarium to Claude, so the start page stops askingUntil you clear it
documarium-unfoldPlays the start page's layout change once, after you press ContinueUntil the next page loads

Both stay in your browser, are never sent to us, and are needed for the thing they do, so there is nothing to switch off.

Why there is nothing to switch off

Each of the three cookies is needed for the thing it does: two of them sign you in, and the third remembers a note you dismissed so we do not show it again. Turning them off would stop sign-in working, or bring back a note you dismissed, so the law does not require your consent for them and there is no cookie banner.

If we ever add a cookie that is not needed in that way, we will ask you first, and this page will say so before it happens.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. We do not load scripts, fonts or images from anybody else on any Documarium page, except a preview, which may show a logo or pictures from addresses its author gave. Outside a preview, nobody else can set a cookie through us.

We do keep a record of things that happen, such as a page being saved or a site being published. It is written on our own servers, not in your browser, and holds no page content and nothing that could sign you in. The privacy policy says more.

Sites published with Documarium

A site somebody publishes with Documarium sets no cookie. It does remember one thing in your browser: whether you chose the light or the dark version of the page. That choice stays on your own device and is never sent to us. The "Published with Documarium" link on some sites sets no cookie either.

How to control cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you see and delete the cookies it keeps, and block them for a site. If you block Documarium's cookies, you will not be able to sign in.

Changes to this policy

If we change something that matters, we write to account holders before it takes effect.
